Dine

Culloden Cove was formerly one of Jamaica’s best restaurants – Culloden Café. It has been lovingly refurbished to transform it into a beautiful holiday villa. Good fresh food is at the heart of a stay with us. Let our chef design a menu to suit your tastes (you can see a sample of some favourite dishes here – Menu-suggestions – opens as a Word docx). You have the choice of a number of stunning locations on the property for where to eat each meal:

Upper terrace – The large tiered terrace is one of people’s favourite features of the villa. The upper terrace is covered and has a large dining area for up to 10 people. It also has a lounging area with two hanging seats and a sofa.

Lower terrace – The lower terrace is covered with a vine which provides a canopy of beautiful hanging purple flowers all year long. This provides excellent shade as well as attracting a constant stream of humming birds throughout the day who feast on the nectar. Day-beds and chairs are provided for lounging. You can also dine here under the stars. The terrace looks onto an expansive sloping lawn, an infinity pool, gazebo and steps which take you down to the private beach and jetty.

Gazebo – The thatched gazebo is at the foot of the garden, overlooking the beach and the sea. It is a beautiful shady spot for breakfast, long lunches, sundowners and romantic dinners. Tables and chairs are provided for dining and a large sofa and hammock are available for lounging after meals or daytime snoozing.

Lounge/dining room – There is a large dining table in the open-plan lounge/dining room for occasions when you prefer to eat indoors.

We have a lot of fruit trees on the property including: ackee, avocado pear, banana, breadfruit, coconut, grapefruit, guava, Jamaican apple, lime, lychee, mango, star fruit and many more. Something is always in season and fresh fruits and juices from the garden are served to guests.
